POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing counseling and other clinical services to children, adults, couples and families, of all Hoyleton programs.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provides individual, group, and family therapy in the Residential Program including any of Hoyleton's office sites and churches. As a community therapist, after hours and weekends will be expected.
  2. Completes in-depth assessments and, in collaboration with the client, the guardian, and/or caseworker, develops an appropriate treatment plan.
  3. Participates in clinical case staffing as needed. Schedules clinical case staffing to assure consistent communication with other professional staff involved with the client.
  4. As requested, participates in meetings and other opportunities to inform prospective clients about the program. Receives intake referrals from supervisor and schedules initial appointments.
  5. Maintains case records and notes in a timely and professional manner. Submits counseling reports as defined in policy.
  6. Provide consultation to center staff on programmatic issues that affect the quality of care provided to the children, as requested.
  7. Provide individual and/ or family psychotherapy to young children with clinical disorders.
  8. Provide psycho-education and support to families/caregivers.
  9. Participate in team meetings, in-services, and supervision as required.
  10. Completes other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  1. Master's Degree in a license-eligible human services field required.
  2. Licensure Required: LCSW, LISW, LCPC, LSW
  3. Minimum of two years professional experience in a similar setting preferred.
  4. The ability and willingness to actively participate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  5. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population(s) served.
  6. Must possess the experience, personal qualities and practice skills to work effectively with professionals in other organizations and from other disciplines and to provide services in a manner that reflects understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism.
  7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  9. Must possess and maintain valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance.
